Sadie The Border Collie |
|
Sadie was down in Wyoming living the good life when she was branded an outlaw by the local law because she was wrangling some sheep that wasn’t hers. Down in Wyoming they take a dim view of a person or dog wrangling sheep that is not yours. Sadie pleaded guilty to moving sheep without harming them but not guilty to stealing sheep. Sadie didn’t hurt the sheep and only moved them around the pasture for practice.
But the jury was tough and Sadie was found guilty. She was sentenced to death if no one took her in. Her owners wouldn’t claim her. No one in this small one horse town in Wyoming wanted an outlaw like Sadie. Sadie was within hours of being put to death when a nice lady put in a phone call to Tuff Suffolks up in Montana. A cell phone photo and a phone call along with Susan’s word to take Sadie help keep Sadie alive. Sadie’s life was spared just in the nick of time. Sadie only had a few hours left when the call from Tuff Suffolk stopped everything.
With a new job offer at Tuff Suffolks in Montana, the local Wyoming law released Sadie on probation and told her to get out of the State of Wyoming and don’t come back. Sadie of course being without any money had to find a ride to Montana. It is never a good idea to hitch hike but Sadie got a ride from the wonderful lady that help her place that call to Tuff Suffolks in Montana and got a ride to Forsyth after a few days. Sadie slowly began to fit in at Tuff Suffolk in Forsyth. Tuff made sure to show her around the sheep and explain the operation along with her new job duties. Tuff reminded Sadie that she was on parole and to keep her nose clean, pass attention and listen. Sadie was very shy and nervous about sheep because of all the trouble she got into in Wyoming. But Sadie has decided this new job of keeping track of Susan and moving sheep is the perfect fit for her. So she has become one of family and hopes to some day become co-owner of Tuff Suffolks with Tuff.

This one young ewe was thinking of making a break for it. So Sadie had to put a quick move on her to stop her and keep her with the herd.
Sadie likes the open field work but not to crazy about that close in sheep work that Tuff loves. |

Sadie hates anything to be out of place and this ewe is out of place.
So Sadie is slowing checking out the ewe to see if she can get ewe back where she belongs. As you can see the ewe is starting to make the right move that Sadie wants. |
